Ham Choy soup & Stir-fry You Choy with Mushrooms
Sorry people soup again tonight. The cold seemed to be justifying it.But but, I came back from an indian grocery store in the evening and scored some tamarind(assam yes!!) as well as fragrant tea leaves(for drinking)..you can expect tamarind (assam yes!!) curry fish this week i think:)
As for how to make the soup, i added liberal amounts of ham choy(salty veg), wedged tomatoes, pickled plums and cut-up chicken to water.Simmered it over the stove(alternatively crockpot is good) for an hour or more.Result was a great pick me up kinda soup.
I stir-fried my veggies with garlic, oyster sauce and some salt.Simple yet delicious.
Over the stove in a large stock pot
